Without basic commodities - from contraceptives to testing kits toequipment for emergency obstetric care - can not exercise the right to reproductive health fully. In many places there is an urgent need for condoms to prevent the further spread of the HIV virus.
The mandate of the United Nations Fund for the population in this area is to provide the appropriate amounts of the right products to the situation in the appropriate place and right time. Involved in thiscomplex logistical process a large number of actors, includingpublic and private sectors. And the Fund take a leading role in securing reproductive health commodities, and coordinate the process and predict the needs and mobilizing support andbuilding logistical capacity at the country level.
