I give most of the food additive number in front of the Englishletter "E" which appears in the list of food ingredients rather than the scientific name of the chemical complex to them. This codecis used in European countries in particular, while others typing the name of the additive does not refer to the code. Some of these additions are a natural source and some industrial, with the following meanings of these numbers:
From E100 to E181 indicate the material color. From E200 to E290 indicate preservatives.
From E296 to E385 indicate acids, and of anti-oxidants, andmetal salts.
From E400 to E495 indicate the materials installed andemulsifier, and Perhaps a vegetarian.
From E500 to E585 indicating metal salts, and sealing materialsbloc.
From E620 to E640 indicate the materials improved flavor.
From E900 to E1520 show a variety of other materials.
There is still a number of additives that have not yet numbered.
Food additives are classified according to their functions in thefour food groups:
A - lucrative package of flavor, taste, and color.
(Flavoring, Taste, and Coloring agents)
B - improved materials for group strength: emulsifiers, stabilizers, and Almtkhanat (Amolzat).
(Emulsifying, Stabilizing, and Thickening Agents)
C - a set of auxiliary materials and manufacturing processes in support of the other additives.
(Anti-caking and anti-foaming agents)
D - a group of preservatives and anti-oxidant (anti-Alzenkh).

The fourth group is related to the safety of food additives and health of the consumer. It is also a group that can not be theowners of factories when their use of food additives other food.
