Astronomical Site:
Spans the region between latitudes: 2 south, 36 and 31 in the north, which it runs in about (33 transverse) also extends between longitudes 22-52 east (longitudinal 30).

This shows the importance of:
1- The Nile Basin and the Horn of Africa, the only region in the Arab World, which runs part of it in the southern hemisphere.
2- the multiplicity and diversity of climatic regions and breadth of the plant area.
3- the diversity of land use and economic resources.
Geographic Location: (characteristics)
1- is located in the heart of the Arab world and the African and Asian is a connecting link between the two.
2- spread in the heart of Africa make a link between the Arab states and the countries of Africa.

Section I:
The states of the Nile Basin, namely: Egypt - Sudan as part of one connected overlooking the Mediterranean in the north and the Red Sea to the east has led to:
1- linking the region navigational countries across Europe, the Americas, the Mediterranean Sea and the Strait of Gibraltar.
2- the region has become a transit zone for most of the world's trade through the Suez Canal.
